Regarding GOLD RUSH and specifically your comment, “Despite some technical difficulties with Browsers and Loading of games, there seems to be a general consensus that AOL Gold Rush is a hit,” . . . there are more than “some difficulties.” All of us who have played are very, very frustrated with the problems with the site. The occurences of “difficulties with Browsers and Loading of games” are frequent and long. All we want is a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. Most of us have not been given that courtesy. Thank you CBS, Mark Burnett, AOL . . . .

If you have Loading Problems, Chuck your AOL and your Internet Explorer and Download Mozilla Firefox. Rare problems with this browser.

Your problems could be mutiple fold, Are your setting to high, do you have java enabled, the latest brower etc.?

I changed my browser to Mozilla Firefox (I had used it previously until the Bravo Celebrity Poker site ceased working with it). When I try to access Gold Rush through Mozilla Firefox, the home page loads without the login box and with some other omissions. I guess I will need to complete this Gold Rush through IE. I will try \”Mozilla Help\”, but perhaps the browsers can\’t be changed in the middle of the game??
I really don\’t want to complete the first 8 Rounds again! If they run a Gold Rush 2, I will start the game through Mozilla Firefox.

    Bonnie,
Check your Settings to allow Java Script, under tools - options - Content.

When in AOL Gold Rush if the load is a problem, hit Browser refresh. Also are you on Dial-up, cable or DSL?

    Random,
Thank you for your helpful suggestions.

Java and Java Script were already enabled, so I looked further in Tools. Under IE Tab Options & General Settings, I checked \”Always using current rendering engine to open new URL.\” Then I clicked \”OK\”.

The IE icon is in front of the Gold Rush URL address, but the complete Gold Rush home page and Login Box are now operational through Mozilla Firefox (shown at the top of my screen).

Thank you so much for your prompt reply and your wonderful site! I am on cable.

Great game but to many problems loading and if it does load you can’t always get the vault to open. I wonder if there are just to many people trying to get on at once. It is frustating though. Can’t post a good time if you can’t get on. I think if they do this again they need to work on the time factor thing.

I’ll have to stay with IE for the completion of Gold Rush, after all. Although I could finally Login using Mozilla Firefox as my browser and type in my answers to Round 9, Games 7, 8, 9, & 10; absolutely nothing happened when I tried to enter those answers. When I entered those same answers using IE as my browser, the answers were correct and accepted.

I expect loading problems again with Games 11, 12, & 13. The Gold Rush server doesn’t seem to be able to handle the crowd when those Games open.
