AOL GOLD RUSH Final thoughts tips before the 3pm round

October 31st, 2006 · 1 Comment

It has been a long journey for US in this quest to answer trivia questions and games / puzzles from Mark Burnett and the CBS / AOL Gold Rush game.

Along the way we have solved every puzzle through sportsmanship, collaboration and just plain good guesses. It’s been a terrific ride to date, that I hope doesn’t end. We will figure out something to take place of our weekly Gold Rush Addictions.

Here are some Tips to help you answer the questions.

1) Prepare in advance.  Close all unnecessary windows and programs from you computer.  They hog up your system resources and can make you game play slow or freeze.

2) Open up your browsers with Multiple windows, have Gold Rush in One, This Site in another, and your resources sites open like Google, Wiki, IMBD Database, Word Unscramblers, etc.  Prepare in advance. Then Breathe. LOL.

3) Since everyone in this game will attempt to solve game 11 first, I suggest you start at game 12,  less people, and more than likely faster loading.

4) Log in to AOL Gold Rush 15-20 Minutes prior to the game opening, or sooner, make sure you are logged in correctly and have all games for this round completed. Game 1-10 have to be completed along with 11 and 12, before the GOLD FINAL will open.

5) The top 6 people that finish the GOLD FINAL Challenge the fastest will go to the Finals for the Big Bucks.   The GOLD Final is usually cryptic, but shows pictures or themes, that represent letters of the alphabet.  Those letters ask a question. The answer to that question is the answer to the challenge. Don’t get frustrated.  Print out the Picture if needed.  Work with a piece of paper.  Make yourself a Code Key in advance, something like 1=A 2=B 3=C.

Think of the potential question as a game of Hangman or Wheel of Fortune. Look for potential similar letters or patterns of smaller word or pictures to attempt to break the code.

5) Relax. This is just a Game. No need to stress, Get your coffee, favorite beverage, Lock the kids in the other room. Turn off the phone ringer if you aren’t using it. Breathe in and out. Post comments to this site.

6) Have Fun.

Good Luck to all, and thank everyone for sharing their tips, answers and comments.  I will pre-post games 11, 12 and Gold as the Group effort, so that we can comment and provide answers etc for each game.
