UPS is not only Brown, but Uninterruptible Power Supply
Doing some research today (Tech Blog) I came across the term UPS, and like most the term would refer to the Delivery Trucks and drivers in their brown uniforms. However I found out that UPS is also a common tech term for Uninterruptible Power Supply and on of the leading manufactures is based here in Richmond Virginia.
Uninterruptible Power Supply is basically a larger battery source that will run electricity in the event the power goes out. They are necessity in critical care operations and in large facilities that need power to function.
So from now on that when I here UPS I more than likely won’t be thinking of a Package Delivery company, but a critical power supply (UPS) needed to maintain important operational functions. Hey most of the good website servers use them as well!!
